| Rest and Relaxation... What does it really mean? I am beginning to realize a little more about the subject. Let me explain:
REST
To
rest is to look back on a season and see all that God has just done
through the aforementioned season and breathe in the joy and peace that
comes from such retrospect.
RELAXATION
To
relax is to take that which you observe in your time of rest and to
realize that all which has just taken place in this most recent season
was according to God's Sovereign plan, as that which prepares and
teaches you for those things which will come in the new seasons you
will enter in the future.
SEASON
Our
lives are composed of seasons of time. Seasons where we may find
ourselves to be laid back and calm with little pressing upon us, we may
find that we are in a season of great difficulty and trial, we may find
that our season is to be marked as a time of much obligation and
responsibilities, it may be a season of learning from others, a season
of teaching others, or both simultaneously occuring. The point is
that just as each year goes by with seasons, and each season with
months, each month with weeks, each week with days, each day with
hours, and each hour their moments-these seasons are vital! For
without them, what would life be? "A place where it is winter always,
only winter." And as each season comes and goes, each day is still
filled with sunshine--so must our lives be filled with the sunshine
which comes from the Word of God. There is a Light which exudes from
that most Holy Word we hold in our hearts and in our hands! Now
is a time for me to reflect, take in a little R & R, and praise God
for how He is working through seasons in my life and all by the power
of the Word of God! |

| So, you haven't heard much from me this semester...there's a reason. I'm only going to write briefly because I don't really have time any more for much else. But here goes: This has definitely been the most chaotic six months of my life. I've run into times when it would seem that I would throw in the towel and stop right where I'm at. But despite the hectic schedule and obligations toward every direction, God has used this semester to teach me that regardless of my circumstances, my joy is found in Him. I don't have to get everything right, I don't have to be the best at everything, I can trust in Him to fulfill in me all that He would have me do. He is sufficient for all things. There's so much more...but some things no words can convey.
